Prepares design packages for multi-discipline projects that meet project goals
Prepares calculations and performs detailed analysis including vessel sizing & internals design, TEMA heat exchanger design, line sizing, relief valve sizing, instrumentation selection, and other process design items.
Assist in planning and designing skidded packages.
Review design drawings, and incorporate basic design corrections
Evaluate, select, and apply standard engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria
Prepares written documents such as specifications, reports, etc. when required
Prepares man-hour cost estimates and design input for proposals and bids
Contacts clients, and/or vendors accordingly to obtain information or resolve design issues
Initiates discussion within the project team to arrive at design solutions that give the best value for limited design, and fabrication costs
Be alert to safety hazards in the field and incorporate design elements as required
Industries served include compressor stations, meter stations, LACT Units, Pig launchers/receivers, dehydration units, Indirect heaters, and other various and skidded liquid and/or gas processing units
Requirements / Must Haves
Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from ABET accredited university (Will consider alternative engineering degrees with supplemental, relevant experience)
Preferred minimum of 2-3 years of experience in process design, control, and/or Instrumentation.
Knowledgeable in liquid/gas production units and package design.
Working knowledge of industry codes, especially API and ASME codes
Proficient with property package and simulation software such as Promax or Hysys
Experience working in a 3D project environment
Professional presence and able to work with clients and vendors to resolve issues
Ability to successfully work in a multi-discipline team environment
